Media Release: Sendmail Partners with PGP Corporation

SUCCESS IN GLOBAL EMAIL SECURITY MARKET FUELS
SENDMAIL'S GROWTH

Sendmail ends fiscal year with record worldwide sales; adds
partnerships with PGP Corporation, PostX, FaceTime, iLumin and
FRISK to boost its email security software platform for large
enterprises

Emeryville, CA/February 15, 2005 - Sendmail, Inc., the global provider of
email security infrastructure, has achieved record sales in its 2005 fiscal year, which ended on January 31st. Its fourth quarter performance was the fifth recordbreaking period in the company's last six quarters.

Sendmail's average transaction size increased 37% over the previous year. For that same period, the company expanded its international focus, tripling sales in the European market. The number of transactions over $200K grew by 89%, reflecting Sendmail's focus on large enterprises with complex messaging networks.

Growth in Sendmail's email security product line grew by 75%, including 136% growth in its anti-spam and anti-virus bookings. The company added new customers and expanded deployments across all of its vertical markets and geographies with companies such as Associated Mediabase, Comercial
Mexicana, Credit Suisse, Southern Illinois University, SRT Communications and the United States Air Force. In the Asia Pacific market, Sendmail now serves five of the top eight ISPs in Japan including Sony Communications Network (Sonet), Yahoo Japan and NTT Plala.

Sendmail also added five new alliances to its Platform Partner Program, giving businesses a choice of best-of-breed technologies with Sendmail's
comprehensive email security platform. These include solutions from industry leaders PGP Corporation, PostX Corporation, FaceTime Communications, iLumin Software Services, Inc., and FRISK Software International.

Through these partnerships, Sendmail's email security platform integrates with secure messaging products including PGP Corporation's PGP® Universal and PostX's Trusted Messaging Suite. To bring more complete compliance solutions to its customers, Sendmail has joined with FaceTime for enterprise-class instant messaging compliance, and iLumin for email storage, archiving and regulatory compliance. The Platform Partner Program also includes added support for a new leading virus scanning technology - the FRISK F-Prot Antivirus™ engine. Sendmail already integrates leading technologies from McAfee for anti-virus and Cloudmark for anti-spam.

Sendmail's steady growth has been driven by enterprises' increasing demand for email security infrastructure that enables end-to-end control of the mailstream - from the gateway to the mailbox - while also providing the flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing security requirements. Contributing to Sendmail's success this year was the launch of Mailstream Content Manager, which combines powerful email policy management with spam and virus protection in a single comprehensive solution. Over half a million seats of Mailstream Content Manager have been sold since it was first introduced just three months ago.

"Our financial success this last year validates our strategy of providing
enterprises with a true platform for email security that meets their sophisticated technical and policy requirements throughout the mailstream, rather than point products that can be difficult to manage and create security vulnerabilities," said Dave Anderson, Sendmail president and CEO. "Additionally, through our new partnerships, we are furthering our commitment to deliver flexible security solutions that can meet the demands of large enterprises well into the future."

"Sendmail and PGP Corporation share a common goal - to help companies with large complex messaging infrastructures secure both their internal and external communications," said Phillip Dunkelberger, president and CEO, PGP
Corporation. "Our trusted, proven encryption technology coupled with Sendmail's unique message processing platform enables us to deliver a policy-driven email encryption solution that helps ensure compliance with corporate security policies and government regulations."
