DataLossDB

Data breach disclosures by major corporations and governments are now nearly a daily event. As these breaches proliferate it's become more difficult to track just how wide and deep the problem of companies losing track of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) has become. The Open Security Foundation maintains one of the most complete data bases of breaches now available. The DatalossDB, tracks loss, theft, misplacement and other events that can cause PII to fall into the wrong hands. Below is a selection of their current statistics. More complete reports are available at http://datalossdb.org/reports.
