Press Release: New Enterprise Customers and Award-Winning Encryption Platform Contribute to PGP Corporation's Success

Fiscal Year Ends With 22nd Consecutive Quarter of Bookings Growth

Palo Alto, CA / 24 March, 2008 - PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data protection, today announced that new and existing customers as well as the award-winning PGP® Encryption Platform contributed to a number of significant milestones in its fiscal year ended December 31, 2007. PGP Corporation completed its sixth fiscal year with 22 quarters of consecutive bookings growth; the company also recorded its one millionth customer transaction and its first multi-million dollar deal. These achievements were driven by new and existing PGP® corporate customers who are adopting the PGP Encryption Platform to centrally manage their enterprise data protection solutions. Additionally, the PGP Encryption Platform received the distinguished Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award for Network Security.

PGP Corporation saw expanding adoption of its technology across global enterprises in 2007 as more than 4000 corporate customers have now deployed the PGP Encryption Platform. New customers that signed on with PGP Corporation this past year included Bertelsmann AG, one of the world's largest media companies; Continental Corporation, a leading automotive parts supplier; SIRVA, a global relocation specialist; Symbian, developer of the market-leading operating system for advanced, data-enabled mobile phones known as smartphones; and Pitney Bowes, the world's leading provider of mailstream solutions, among many others. PGP® customers recognize the value of the PGP Encryption Platform in delivering rich key management, central policy enforcement, and recovery services via a set of integrated encryption applications for strong data defense.

In addition, analysts increasingly voice support for a platform approach to enterprise data protection, validating PGP Corporation's strategic direction. According to Charles Kolodgy, research director for IDC, "Enterprise data protection requires a broad range of encryption applications to protect data in motion, at rest, and in use across an organization. The PGP Encryption Platform provides the applications, key management, and automated operation to make enterprise date protection a cost-effective reality."

PGP Corporation continued to receive industry accolades as it was named an Info Security "Hot Company" for the second year in a row and was rated the lead vendor in email and data encryption among Fortune® 1000 companies for the third successive year by TheInfoPro. The PGP Encryption Platform was also recognized in 2007, earning the prestigious Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award for Network Security, the Techworld Award for Encryption Product of the Year, the Info Security Products Guide's Global Excellence Award for Enterprise Encryption Platforms, the CNET Networks UK Business Technology Award for Security Product of the Year, and was chosen as one of SC Magazine's most innovative encryption products.

"2007 marked a turning point in data security: an holistic approach to defending data wherever it resides is replacing point solutions that protect only one location or type of device," said Phillip Dunkelberger, president and CEO of PGP Corporation. "Enterprise customers worldwide recognize that PGP Corporation's platform approach delivers the comprehensive data protection they need," continued Dunkelberger. "Their trust in PGP® technology-and our commitment to continuing to expand its capabilities with new security options-keeps us focused on meeting customers' evolving requirements."

In addition, the company launched its new PGP® Global Partner Program, signed on four new Value-Added Distributors, and created the first scholarship at Oxford University's Internet Institute. The company also introduced new Secure Delivery options, announced a partnership with Intel to deliver enterprise data protection solutions, and was selected by IBM Global Services to deliver endpoint data encryption services.
