Press Release: PGP Corporation Records 25th Consecutive Quarter of Successful Bookings Growth
Strong Q3 Growth Fueled by New and Upgraded Encryption Solutions for Enterprise Data Protection
Menlo Park, CA/06 November 2008 – PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data protection, today announced that it completed its 25th quarter of successful customer bookings growth in its third fiscal quarter of 2008, ending September 30, 2008. Overall, PGP Corporation recorded 31 percent annual year-to-date growth; the Europe, Middle East and Africa region is especially solid with 83 percent year-to-date growth and 39 percent quarterly growth over the same, third quarter of fiscal 2007. Led by strong demand for the award winning PGP® Encryption Platform, PGP® Whole Disk Encryption and PGP® NetShare solutions, PGP® products are now used by 41 of the top 50 brands as ranked in the 2008 Interbrand annual ranking of The Best Global Brands. New and upgraded solutions delivered in the quarter added to the market demand and leadership of PGP Corporation’s enterprise-class encryption security solutions.

Q3 Highlights Included:
- New and Improved PGP Encryption Platform and Technology
New and upgraded PGP® solutions delivered in Q3 2008, which are all part of the PGP Encryption Platform include:- PGP UniversalTM Server 2.9 — as the foundation of the PGP Encryption Platform, new enhancements enable organizations to enforce or defer email encryption policies when users are offline, providing greater security when users are not on the network;
- PGP® Whole Disk Encryption 9.9 — increased support for multiple operating systems and standards, including pre-boot authentication for both Mac and Windows, enabling enterprises to set centrally-defined security policies from a single management console for heterogeneous environments;
- PGP® NetShare 9.9 — enables file sharing environments to set policy-based encryption by application (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, custom applications, etc.), regardless of where the data resides whether stored locally, on a flash drive or file server;
- PGP® Endpoint — a centrally managed data loss prevention solution that provides integrated data encryption and devise policy enforcement for all removable storage devices (USB drives, CDs and DVDs) and mobile data connection technologies (e.g. Wi-Fi, FireWire, Bluetooth, etc.) to protect laptops, desktops, mobile devices and ports; and
- PGP® Command Line — new version now runs natively on the IBM z/OS mainframe operating system, providing customers with broader platform support when integrating encryption scripts into batch, networking and back-up processes.

PGP Whole Disk Encryption Acceptance and Recognition
Immediately following its release, PGP Whole Disk Encryption 9.9 was accepted for Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 4+ (EAL4+) certification. Level 4 is the highest level possible that is mutually recognized by all countries participating in the Common Criteria certification; the plus denotes augmentation of ALC_FLR.1 Flaw Remediation. Additionally PGP Whole Disk Encryption was the only product to garner a “Best Buy” rating in SC Magazine’s annual Encryption Group Test review. PGP Whole Disk Encryption received five stars in all categories — features, performance, ease-of-use, documentation, support and value for the money. -
Industry Initiative Announced with IBM to Support Bletchley Park
PGP Corporation, along with partner IBM, also launched a campaign this past quarter to restore Bletchley Park, known as the birthplace of modern computing and part of the National Museum of Computing in the U.K, collectively donating over $100,000 USD. Since the inaugural fundraising event in September, over $15,000 USD has been collected from individual contributions that support PGP Corporation’s and IBM’s efforts to help modernize and expand the museum’s educational offerings.
