Press Release: PGP Corporation Names Steven Soderberg as Chief Information Officer
Menlo Park, CA/10 June 2008 – PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data protection, today announced that Steven Soderberg has joined the company as Chief Information Officer (CIO). Soderberg, 47, will be responsible for driving all of PGP Corporation's global IS/IT systems including voice/data networks, desktop and server support, business application systems and messaging technologies.
Soderberg, who has over twenty years of information technology experience, joins PGP Corporation from Otis Spunkmeyer Inc. where he served for 3 years as CIO. While at Otis Spunkmeyer, Soderberg led the creation of a centralized server and storage architecture, prepared the IT function for public company reporting and SOX compliance, and architected the ‘next generation' ERP solution.
Prior to Otis Spunkmeyer, Soderberg served for 8 years as Senior Vice President and CIO for The Robert Mondavi Company were he was the architect of WIM (Wine Information Management)—now viewed as the wine industry standard vertical software solution. He has received Content Week's Intranet Best in Class award as well as a CIO Magazine Web Business Top 50 award for his implementation of ‘Connect'—the Mondavi intranet/extranet platform.
Before Mondavi, he was responsible for worldwide systems development and support at Symantec Corporation.
