PGP CORPORATION ANNOUNCES ADDITIONS TO TECHNICAL ADVISORY
BOARD
Three experts join prominent security company's esteemed
group of advisors
Palo Alto, CA/10 November, 2003
– PGP Corporation announced today that three icons
of the information security field have joined its Technical
Advisory Board, bringing the group's membership to a total
of seven. The board, formed in August 2002, provides expertise and
guidance to PGP executives and engineering teams in the areas of
information security, encryption, networking, and future
technologies. The new members are:

Derek Atkins, President, IHTFP Consulting Inc.
An active member of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF),
Mr. Atkins was instrumental in the design and standardization of
several major Internet protocols, including OpenPGP and IMPP
(Instant Messaging and Presence Protocol). Directly before
founding IHTFP, which specializes in Internet and systems
security practices, he was a senior scientist at Telcordia
Technologies. He was also a co-founder and chief technology
officer at Arepa Inc. (now Into Networks). Mr. Atkins was also
involved in the development of early versions of PGP
technologies. Active in the Internet and security communities
since 1989, Mr. Atkins specializes in architecting, designing,
developing, and deploying network and systems security
applications. He received both his B.S. in Electrical Engineering
and Computer Science and his M.S. in Media Arts and Sciences from
MIT.

Dr. Steve Babbage, Security Technologies Manager, Vodafone
Group Research & Development
Dr. Babbage is the chief cryptologist for Vodafone Group, one of
the world's largest mobile telecommunications network
companies. His team in Vodafone Group R&D is influential
in security standardization for mobile telephony (GSM, 3GPP, OMA,
and others). Dr Babbage chairs ETSI SAGE, the Security Algorithms
Group of Experts that designs cryptographic algorithms for mobile
and other telecommunications standards. He has an M.A. in
Mathematics and Philosophy from Oxford University and a Ph.D. in
Mathematics from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Dr. Norman Koo, Executive Director, Chief Technology Office,
AOL Time Warner
Dr. Koo is responsible for the emerging technologies for
large-scale data center IT infrastructure and associated consumer
and home networking devices. Previously, he held a variety of
senior management positions at Sun Microsystems Inc. and was
instrumental in growing the company's Asia-Pacific
revenues to more than $1 billion. He also was the founder and CEO
for OpenTV, a Sun-Thomson joint venture, leading the company
public with a $3 billion-plus market capitalization. Dr. Koo
received an MBA from the University of Santa Clara, an M.S. in
Nuclear Engineering and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering/Electrical
Engineering from Iowa State University, and a B.S. in Nuclear
Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.

These esteemed individuals join original board members Carl

Crispin Cowan, Chief Scientist, Immunix; Bruce Schneier, Co-founder
and Chief Technical Officer, Counterpane Internet Security Inc.;
and Phil Zimmermann, founder of the original PGP Inc.
