PGP CORPORATION LAUNCHES PGP COMMAND LINE 8.5 TO ADD ENCRYPTION
TO BATCH DATA PROCESSING AND DATA TRANSFER
Palo Alto, CA/09 June, 2004 – PGP Corporation, a global leader in digital information security, today introduced PGP® Command Line 8.5, software that adds encryption capabilities to batch processing and transfer of sensitive business information. This product is for organizations with applications that include regular server-to-server or server-to-desktop transfer of proprietary corporate information. Securing such information transfers has become an increasingly high priority in response to government privacy and security regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, and HIPAA as well as to increased use of the Internet as a transmission channel. “Customers in every industry and geography have asked for a product that adds PGP security to internal applications that regularly move information among servers,” said Phillip Dunkelberger, president and CEO of PGP Corporation. “With PGP Command Line 8.5, industries such as financial services will be able to insert PGP encryption into their core applications that deliver daily or hourly bulk-transfers of transactional, credit card, loan, and other proprietary information.” Key customer issues for using PGP Command Line 8.5:
