PGP CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NEW PRODUCTS FOR MAC OS X 10.4
“TIGER” PLUS GERMAN LOCALIZATION AND
INTERNATIONAL ENCODING UPDATES
PGP Data Security Products Support Tiger and Double-Byte
Languages;
Full Compatibility with Tiger's built-in Firewall and
New Network Kernel Extensions

solutions, today announced PGP® Desktop 9.0.1 and
PGP® Universal 2.0.1 products with full support for Apple
Computer"s Mac OS X 10.4 “Tiger”
operating system, German localization, and internationalization for
different character sets and encodings.

PGP Corporation also announced that new versions
have been re-architected to support language localization. PGP
Desktop 9.0.1 is now available in German. PGP Universal 2.0.1
internal processes are fully double-byte character-enabled,
allowing organizations to communicate seamlessly with business
partners worldwide and customize end-user messages, as desired.
Additional language support, especially Japanese, will be available
in future releases.

character-enabled.

Translated UI - The PGP Desktop 9.0.1 user interface has
been translated into German and incorporates new techniques to
support multiple languages in future releases.

Translated documentation - PGP Universal 2.0.1 and PGP
Desktop 9.0.1 user documentation, presentations, and marketing
collateral are now available in German.

Localized websites - The PGP German (

website provides local language information for local PGP
users.

New German PGP subsidiary - PGP Corporation has created a
local presence to serve German-language customers.

Glück & Kanja Technology AG, a German vendor
of award-winning security products acquired by PGP

FIPS 140-2 validation - Previous PGP product versions were
validated to FIPS 140-2. Updated FIPS 140-2 validation for the
updated PGP Software Development Kit (SDK) included in PGP
Desktop 9.0.1 and PGP Universal 2.0.1 has been submitted and is
currently listed as an Implementation Under Test.
