Media Release: The Helbling Group Deploys Award-Winning PGP Technology

Leading Swiss Financial Consultancy Implements PGP Universal Gateway Email or Secure Client Email Communications

Palo Alto, CA/22 May, 2007 – PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data protection, today announced that The Helbling Group, a leading Swiss management, technology, and corporate finance consulting company, has chosen PGP® technology to protect sensitive information in email communications. Helbling is using PGP Universal™ Gateway Email, a PGP® Encryption Platform–enabled application, to ensure client confidentiality on diverse projects with customers such as Audi, Logitech, and Nestlé. PGP Universal Gateway Email provides centrally managed, standards-based email encryption without the need for special training or software, capabilities that were especially attractive to Helbling.

The Helbling Group is widely recognized across Europe for its consulting services. The company’s 320 employees in Switzerland and Germany work with multinational enterprise clients to develop strategies for boosting innovation, growth, and profitability plus successfully completing mergers and acquisitions. The company selected PGP Corporation to supply an electronic messaging solution for secure client communications. “PGP Corporation and its reseller were a pleasure to work with and demonstrated a solid understanding of our business as well as our current and evolving requirements. PGP Corporation’s strong presence in German-speaking regions also contributed greatly to our decision,” said Christoph Rothlin, CIO, The Helbling Group. “Email encryption is like insurance: Even if you cannot calculate the exact risk, the potential cost of a security breach is too high to do without it. This is why we are pleased with our solution from PGP Corporation.”

Helbling’s implementation of PGP® technology was a success: deployed on time and within budget, with positive feedback from IT staff, users, and business partners. With the introduction of PGP Universal Gateway Email, Helbling has effectively introduced the PGP Encryption Platform, the underlying framework that handles comprehensive policy enforcement, key management, recovery, and reporting services for all platform-enabled applications. As additional PGP solutions are deployed, they leverage the common infrastructure, which provides lower operational costs and faster implementation compared to point solutions.

“PGP Corporation is pleased to work with The Helbling Group, a highly influential organization, on its strategic security initiatives,” said Phillip Dunkelberger, president and CEO of PGP Corporation. “We increasingly see our customers starting with one or two PGP encryption applications, then quickly adopting more. It’s a trend we welcome because it validates the power and scalability of PGP technology in addressing the evolving requirements of our global customers.”
