Fortune 1000 Companies Widely Deploy PGP Solutions to Meet Enterprise Data Protection Needs

Palo Alto, CA/17 October, 2007 – PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data protection, today announced that new research conducted by the TheInfoPro (TIP), an independent research network and leading supplier of market intelligence for the information technology industry, reveals that PGP Corporation is once again the leading provider for secure email and data encryption technologies among Fortune® 1000 companies. TheInfoPro's "Wave 9, F1000 Information Security Study (Summer 2007)" indicates that PGP Corporation is the top vendor in use and in plan in both areas, ahead of competitors such as Check Point Software, Entrust, IBM, Microsoft, and many others.

TIP surveyed more than 150 information security professionals from North American Fortune® 1000 enterprises about implementation and spending plans, vendors, and products in 43 information security technology categories, including email and data encryption software to provide infrastructure security. The Wave 9 study indicates that encryption is the number one project for IT over the next 12 months and that data encryption is #2 on the Top 10 list of infrastructure security technologies currently in use. The study also found that the application of data encryption for wireless networking is eclipsed by full disk encryption for laptops and workstations as more enterprises realize the potential for data breaches due to loss or theft of disks from these devices. End users cited represent some of the world's most popular brands, such as Cisco Systems, Citigroup, FedEx, IBM, JPMorgan, Microsoft, Oracle, Pfizer, Sprint, and Visa.
