Course Descriptions

PGP Fundamentals

This class introduces basic cryptography concepts and provides a high-level overview of PGP® products. It is a 90-minute, Internet-based training and includes a certification exam at course conclusion.

The class is a prerequisite for the PGP Certified Technician class.

Prerequisite: None

To obtain a login for this course, send a request to training@pgp.com and include the following information:

• First and last name
• Email address
• Company or organization name and relationship to PGP Corporation, e.g. customer or partner

When you receive a login, go to http://test.pgptech.com and log in.
Click the "PGP Fundamentals Certification Exam" link.
After the first video loads, click the Play button in the bottom left corner.

PGP Certified Technician (PCT) 2.0

PCT 2.0 is a three-day, instructor-led training course. It covers the installation, deployment, and maintenance of PGP Universal™ Server 2.9 and PGP® Desktop 9.9 software, with a combination of lecture and lab exercises. There are 20 modules in the class, and each module includes intensive hands-on activity. A copy of all course materials is provided to class participants and lunch is provided at PGP® class sites.

There is a certification exam at course conclusion.

The class is intended for Security Professionals and Administrators.

Prerequisite: PGP® Fundamentals

PGP® Platinum support contracts include two seats of PGP® Certified Technician training. Check with your PGP® account representative to verify eligibility.

PGP Advanced Administration and Deployment (AAD)

This is a two-day, instructor-led, advanced training course. It provides an in-depth study of the database, clustering, and key server components of PGP Universal Server. It also covers troubleshooting techniques and command-line administration of PGP Universal Server. A copy of all course materials is provided to class participants and lunch is provided at PGP class sites.

The class is intended for Security Professionals and Administrators.

Prerequisites: PGP Fundamentals and PCT 2.0
